It’s that time of year again where we say goodbye to our cool and fresh salads, fruit bowls, and ice creams, and replace them with warm hot-pots, pies and, obviously, fruit crumble! You can’t beat apple crumble, and I’ve added a few extras to really push it into eye-rolling, lip smacking, winter deliciousness! Although I will admit it doesn’t look the most appealing.. but then the best things never do!
2 Handfuls of oats
2 Chopped Dates
4 Crumbled Walnuts
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Coconut Sugar / Maple Syrup
Pre-heat the oven to conventional 180°c. Chop the apple into small chunks and add to a oven dish along with the dates, walnuts and cinnamon. Cover the apples with the oats and sprinkle over the sugar. Cook in the oven for around 15 minutes until the oats are golden brown and the apple has gone soft.
Optional: Serve with coconut yogurt or ice cream!
